Bath time is an essential part of our children's daily routine, not only is it important to make our children clean it is a great way for children to learn new skills and have some fun. Bath time is also great for having more 1 to 1 time with your child in a relaxing environment.

Essential bath time tips

  1. Prioritise bath time safety:

    • Keep everything within arms reach to ensure you child is never left alone in the bath.

    • Use a non slip math mat to prevent slips and falls.

    • Check the water temperature, ideal temperature is between 37-38.

  2. Create a soothing bath time experience:

    • Using a small jug to pour water over you child's body is more relaxing than a high pressured shower head

    • Use soft lighting and a calm voice to make things more peaceful.

    • Have a warm towel ready for after bath time

  3. Create a fun environment:

    • Toys can turn a boring bath into a fun adventure for children.

    • Using age appropriate and safe toys for children can transform bath time.

  4. Incorporate learning into bath time:

  5. Keep

    bath time positive:

    • Try to schedule bath time at the same time every evening (if possible).

    • Have a calming activity after bath time like reading or listening to a story.

    • Stay positive and keep the experience light-hearted.
