Making bath time fun

Bath time is an essential part of our children's daily routine, not only is it important to make our children clean it is a great way for children to learn new skills and have some fun. Bath time is also great for having more 1 to 1 time with your child in a relaxing environment.
Essential bath time tips
Prioritise bath time safety:
Keep everything within arms reach to ensure you child is never left alone in the bath.
Use a non slip math mat to prevent slips and falls.
Check the water temperature, ideal temperature is between 37-38.
Create a soothing bath time experience:
Using a small jug to pour water over you child's body is more relaxing than a high pressured shower head
Use soft lighting and a calm voice to make things more peaceful.
Have a warm towel ready for after bath time
Create a fun environment:
Toys can turn a boring bath into a fun adventure for children.
Using age appropriate and safe toys for children can transform bath time.
Incorporate learning into bath time:
Research from the University of Sheffield found that bath time can significantly boost a child's cognitive and social development.

Keep
bath time positive:
Try to schedule bath time at the same time every evening (if possible).
Have a calming activity after bath time like reading or listening to a story.
Stay positive and keep the experience light-hearted.
Praise your little one for small wins (if they get soap in their eyes praise them for overcoming it).
